Psoriasis Nails Pictures

Psoriasis is a common skin disease which is caused by immense cell growth. Normally new cell grows and flakes off in 4 weeks, but in psoriasis new cells grow rapidly in days. All the new cells build-up and form thick patterns called plaques. These patches are red and appear mostly on knees, elbows, scalp, hands and feet. Anyway it can occur at any-other places.

Patients with psoriasis will also have Psoriasis Nails. Which is called psoriatic nail disease.  If psoriatic nail disease is not treated then this may lead to functional and social problems.
