Gel manicure is a nail polish that is set with UV light Or LED light to make the polish durable. Gel nail polish is well known for being durable for a period of 3 weeks. Those who love to have nailed polish but are lazy to apply for every 2 or 3 days (as the polish gets chipped easily) try gel manicure.

But the problem with gel manicure is it contains harmful chemicals as ingredient which is hazardous to your health. This is why we (Nailsjournal.com team) don’t recommend nail polish.

Home remedies to remove Gel Manicure

Things you need to have.

  • Acetone.
  • Aluminum foil strips.
  • Nail file.
  • Nail buffer.
  • Cotton ball.
  • Wooden stick.
  • And a small bowl.

Step -1

Using nail file, scuff the surface of each nail. This will make acetone’s work easy.

Step -2

Pour acetone into a small bowl and soak cotton ball into it.

Step -3

Place soaked cotton balls on the nail surface directly and wrap it with aluminum foil strips. So that acetone soaked cotton balls stays tightly on nails.

Repeat the same process to all nails and leave it for about 10 minutes.

Step -4

Now slide-off foils. Using wooden stick scrape off the gel polish.

  • If in case the polish is not coming easily, try soaking it again.

Step-5

Wash your hands with soap and pat them dry. Now using nail buffer to buff each of the nail to scrape remaining nail polish.

Then again wash your hands.

Step -6

After washing hands for second time apply moisturizer.

Note: Acetone and nail buffer will weaken your nails. So, it’s not recommended to use this every time. If you’re health conscious better don’t use nail polish.
